CN 327 is passing a switch point indicator that lets approaching trains know if the switch is lined for the main or for the siding. Power is a solo SD40-2, with 29 cars behind it.
I spotted the indicator and how smart and 21st Century this looks, interwoven with the brake light.
999 is about to turn around at the Seafield terminus, a lonely place if ever there was one!

... Mist's ears .. in this case only half up! The light rain just at this point decided to 'turn on' a good bit heavier
On a Harley Davidson motor bike. The graininess of the sensor noise is really limiting the definition here.
Leica Digilux 2 (largely identical to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC1), S/N 2985292, manufactured in 2003.
Paraphrased from an episode of the British show Coupling. My friend Lauren and I became addicted a couple of years ago.
I couldn't find a reference to the exact line and did it by memory. Of course, the original line is worded slightly different. But the sentiment remains the same.
Long working-days for the moment.
Looking forward to the weekend...
Did struggle with the lighting here.
The hygrometer has been packed into a wet towel to reach the 100% humidity. I thought was an easy set up, but it turned out to be quite difficult due to the fact that the scale is made of circle polished brass. I ended setting up white paper around the instrument and shoot by the light from the lamp hanging from the ceiling.
There will be quite a lot of new signals on the station in the 2022 revision.
I have added lights to indicators, couple of new signs. Quite a lot of soldering - I hope the night shots will pay off the time spent on the details.

19-7-2014 - The "Inglis Folly" at the top of Colley Hill.
It was donated to the borough in 1909 by Lieutenant Colonel Inglis.
It was originally a drinking fountain but now houses a directional indicator.
Colley Hill is a summit of the North Downs and sits adjacent to Reigate Hill.
At a height of 722ft, it forms part of the Reigate Ridge.
The greater honeyguide is a near passerine birds related to the woodpeckers. Its English and scientific names refer to its habit of guiding people to bee colonies. .....Wikipedia.

my newest addition for my upcoming show at the Candy Store which opens on november 8th.
Another indicator of a very strange Wisconsin winter, I had heard this bird was hanging around the harbor, way too early in the season, in fact a rarity here in any season. I had to go see myself, it was there but something about the bird worries me, it does not move much and spent much time picking at its right wing, will have to keep an eye on it.
Great Blue Heron.
Port Washington, WI.
Since only 46 photo's of this species can be found on Flickr (of which 16 are NOT spotted honeyguides, e.g. lions, other birds and landscapes...) I post now another one from my archive. Like most (all?) of the other photo's of this species I made this one at the lovely Marakissa River Lodge, run by the very hospitable Adama and her Dutch husband Joop.
